Design Interpretation: The top and bottom areas include a center figure which is inspired by the sculptural figures produced by the Kota and the Obamba peoples of Gabon. The border is dichroic glass and is an interpretation of a Kente cloth pattern. Handles are wrapped in gold plated wire and feature ceramic, glass or bone beads.
